Hola Hola!!
September is finally here and with that the Transfer drama in Football Soccer is over!! And this year it didn’t disappointed… Some last minutes surprises that some fans are still trying to understand and accept!
Let’s start with the big Drama of the Summer, this lasted three months, oook it was shorter than a Mexican novela, but it had all the ingredients of one lol… It was a love triangle story, with Real Madrid in love of Gareth Bale and he was totally corresponding that love and then we had the villain Tottenham Hotspur FC president who didn’t want to let him go, but in this case Love conquers all… or sort of… it was more wallet conquers all, €91 million to be kind of exact, that was the final chapter, after many negotiations and Bale going all revel with his former team, both teams reached an agreement on the money and as every novela or tale we have a happy ending…
At least for the moment because, we still have to see him play and the pressure for him have to be a big one, all that money is insane… and he is not even consider the best player as of now, the idea is that he will be…. and that’s why Real Madrid paid all that money, at least that’s the idea, but until he kind of shows and proves what he is capable of doing we will have just to trust lol
But he finally showed up in Madrid wearing white and the world went crazy… I mean we have been waiting for this moment for long time…
The transfer window closed and the final hours were a bit crazy, with Bale signing for Real Madrid, but after paying all that money I guess the Whites feels the need to sell in order to be able to recover some of the investment and then we had the biggest surprise of the summer, I think this was bigger than Bale, let’s face it we knew he was going to be a Real’s player we just didn’t know when was going to happen, but the Surprise was Mesut Özil!!!!
And I didn’t even see it coming. There were a lot of talks about clubs interesting in him even there was a moment when they thought he was going to be part of the Bale transfer deal but what we never saw coming or at least I didn’t was his transfer happening in the closing moments of the transfer window, and it was done in less than two days… That was crazy, just after we found out that Bale was finally a Real Madrid player, the rumors started and the next thing we know is that Arsenal reached to an agreement with Los Blancos to sign Özil, it was a matter of hours and for half of Bale’s price €45 millions…
On the other side if you are an Arsenal fan, those two days were the happiest in a long time lol… I think most of them if not all were heavily praying for some miracle, the fans were upset about the lack of actions from their club, they waited until the last-minute to bring any reinforcement to the team, but I guess the wait was worth it, they got one of the best players, he is talented and can move the ball and make some passes that many dream to make and fans dream to see, so I think they feel very happy right now!
I still can believe it though, Özil is a great player, the pressure on him lately in Real Madrid was big, and with the great performance Isco is having and Bale’s possible arrival he was facing a lot of competition to avoid the bench so I guess it was a good deal for him too…
“I’m a player who needs the confidence [of the manager],” Ozil explained to dfb.tv, the official channel of the national team, on Tuesday. “At the weekend, I was certain that I would stay at Real Madrid, but afterwards I realised that I did not have the faith from the coach or the bosses. I am really looking forward to [joining Arsenal] because I have the faith of the coach. I had spoken to him at length on the telephone, he explained his plans and that he has faith in me – that is what I need as a player.” (Quote from the Guardian)
Real Madrid fans were unhappy they didn’t want him to go, and some of them made it loud and clear to Florentino Perez in Bale’s presentation, by chanting “Özil is not for sale”, but it was inevitable by that time…
The other kind of last-minute transfer although this one wasn’t that surprising was Kaka’s who got back to his old team, AC Milan, for him was kind of going back home, at least that’s what he said, he wasn’t having minutes in Real Madrid, he wasn’t receiving love from the fans either, during the last game he got a lot of whistles which means they weren’t happy with his performance, Milan has always expressed his desire to see him playing there again and now it’s a reality…
As you can see the final hours of the Transfer Market were more than interesting and surprising… let’s see how this will unfold, the good news is that we have front row tickets to see it all!!!
Thanks for reading, it was a long, never-ending post but it was a very, everything happen at once kind of weekend!!
Besitos!♥
